April 2021 Kitties and a note about Cup-and-Saucer Vine

The kitties have all been enjoying the weather; we have suddenly sprinted into spring. I still wonder about the possibilities for sudden fall back into chilly weather.

Here is Martin Frobisher, who decided he needed to stretch out on the mail. There were other available (empty) chairs.
Happy Sidney on the quilt outside. I had been lounging on it too.
Fluff looks slightly demonic here, but I’ve noticed she often does in pictures. She is noisy and demanding, but definitely not demonic.

This is a picture of Cousin from last summer; I’ve put it in here to maintain his dignity. The next picture of him is very funny but not very dignified. I had been petting him and with the static and all, his hairs are all slicked back in a very odd way.

Well. Yes. And he is sticking out his tongue and he is actually getting ready to bat at me with that upraised paw. And clearly he has been putting his nose in places it wasn’t wanted. There are two little scoundrals in the background too.

Garden Updates

I tore out the leftover detritus of the Cup-And-Saucer (vine?/ flower?) plant (Cobaea Scandens). AND I was very pleased to find a complete seed pod that rattles like it is full of seeds. I am especially happy about this find because somehow I didn’t save any seeds (or at least not that I’ve found), and I don’t seem to have the packet or the leftover from last year. Here is the flower on the plant from last summer.

I didn’t quite realize what it was going to try to do (as a climber) so I will be planting it in a quite different spot this year… if the seeds I found work. I will put them in some seed starter soil inside and see how that goes.
